The Mud member from Oz who promised me a license plate holder ended up having a baby shortly thereafter and I haven't heard from him since despite several e-mails in that direction. I made some inquiries in Australia about the plate holders, and the 47 and earlier ones are no longer available, and that includes sourcing also from Japan.

The picture that is shown in the other thread is a license plate holder from a 70 series cab/chassis unit. Those are still available from Toyota Australia, and I paid around AUD$65 for mine. Then I sourced a couple of Toyota license plate lights from CCOT, as the price out of Oz was nearly double. I'm hoping they fit without any modification.

Well, the 75 series license plate bracket arrived today from Oz. It looks great, and the basic license plate light, picked up from CCOT, fits perfectly. I just need to drill some mounting holes in the rear crossmember, bolt it up and wire it.

I believe on the early 45's one tail light had a transluscent lense that allowed the light to shine down on the plate.. as for the early bracket I have no idea.
