You're not alone my friend, its pretty much the same situation all over latin america. a couple of years ago here many FZJ105s from the police started flooding the market, they couldn't afford to get them running again after all their computers had been sold on the black market.

Sad but true. Resource squandering is the norm in that part of the world.

It is common practice to sell off every thing that is not riveted (or welded) to the frame, including vital components. After years of heavy use, a non-operating, empty shell is either put away to rot or auctioned.
