So I have been reading about the Lexus backed warranty that you can purchase. Reading about the navigation system got me interested among other things like the exhaust maniflod, etc. The LX must have under 50,000 miles and be less than 4 Years old. You can buy a warranty for up to 7 years----so this means you get 3 more years up to 100K? Where can I shop for these to find a good deal--sounds like there is a bit of markup. Do I just have to start emailing dealers?

You gotta bargain harder!! I got an extra 2 yrs on my 3 yr/100K CPO warranty at time for purchase for pennies on the dollar. I'd try emailing the fleet sales manager of various dealers.

We are both U.S. citizens and have to run the truck 2x a year to get recertified at the border. If we had a cracked manifold for example or a bad gps we could get it fixed then. I think you can get the gurantee for under $1,000 from my reading. A family member has an 06 LC purchased down here--no navigation(I like it better). But a 03 LX is half the price of a new cruiser here.
