The 100 on one of its shinier days up in Nova Scotia. 2nd shot showing why we call it, Crumpy.

Fun fact: The second photo is just before departing back to Seattle.. In about 200km that Hi-Lift was gone on the TransCanada. Luckily without killing anyone. We never did find it.

The 200 made the trip last year. Much more comfortable truck to do a 10k mile road trip in!

I bought my first Land Cruiser in 1997, a 1974 FJ40. Built it over the years to run the tight, off-camber trails in the Cascade Mountains. Here is the rig at Elbe Hills a number of years ago.

In 2019 I decided to pursue a dream of mine, to explore and camp in the southwest deserts of the United States. I bought a well-worn 1999 UZJ100 (318K) from a fellow Cruiserhead and took it to TorFab for a doctor's check-up. Brought the rig home after some deferred maintenance and repairs were done. Then started to prepare to take the 100 down to Southwest, by building a sleeping platform, and getting it ready for its first trip (Utah in August.)

Here is this UZJ100 in Canyonlands NP, along the Green River in 2019. Also a more recent photo (2024) in the Mojave Desert.

In 2023 I got bored with my daily driver (sold it) and bought a 1997 FZJ80 to drive around instead. 299K miles. After a visit to Dr. TorFab for a full check-up and some minor repairs and maintenance it has become a fun project rig.

The 80 came with the ARB front bumper when I bought it; I installed a 9K electric winch. I have also added rock sliders from White knuckle, skid plates (Cruisin Offroad) from Trail Tailor, and a rear Trail Gear bumper.

Looking forward to getting this 80 out on the trail more often!

Photo from Summer 2023 over in Naches.
