Mildly lifted GXs on skinnies are, in my opinion, proper and handsome. If you've got one so built, post up a pic--I'd love to see it. It's also a bit self serving of me, as I may be in the market for a GX; I'm interested to see some of the more modest, restrained builds on here.

I’m currently on a 2” dobinsons lift with 275/70s. Part of me wants to go with kings on 285/75s, but I also realize that a quality 3” with 255/80s would probably be sufficient. I do already have the king coilovers so I may end up just going that route, but these look really good with a basic setup and skinnies.

Yep. Good looking rig. Thanks for sharing.

I love the pizza cutter look on the older Land Cruisers but I've never found it appealing on the 460, it works on the 470 IMHO but to each their own. The longer I own mine the more I stare in the other direction and desire to have long travel.

Yes, it’s certainly a matter of personal preference.

Kind of agree. I ran 33x10.50x15 BFG's on my FJ60 and they looked awesome. Skinnies just look strange on bigger (mostly wider) rigs like the 100 series. I dig them on the 460, though. I had 255/85/16 MT's on my 80, and they looked strange, but worked great.

I had skinnies on our 80 when I got it but ended up going wider when we changed the tires out for the same reason.

wheel width has a lot to do with the looks. Older LC's typically had 6" rims, so "pizza cutters" still had some sidewall bulge. 235's or 255's on an 8" wide rim just look strange.

Twilly -

Let me go back to your original request (460 with skinny-ish tires and mild lift)...

255/70R18 (OE Wheels) with Radflo Coilover (2.5ish inch lift)
