I just picked up a JDM RHD BJ71 as my old Canadian BJ70 has terminal cancer. I pondered trying to save her but she's too far gone. I'm going to convert the 71 to LHD and part the 70 soon. Some of the goodies to go will be a complete set of axles, drum to drum, disc to disc with aussie lockers front and rear and a Belton lift kit. I'll start a parting out thread when I get going on that soon. I'm going to try and keep the A/C, full floater limited slip rear diff and funky Japanese 3" lift. The old 70 next to the new rust free 71.

Cant say I blame you, though it was nice to see someone try to save a cdn 70. There can't be too many of them left at this point...

BUt yeah, once you climb under a clean JDM you start wondering "what the hell am I doing with this rusty POS"... just ask greg_b :D

13B-T is nice, ain't it? :grinpimp:

Very nice, Kind of wished I would have found a nice clean one like that. Instead I got a LJ-78:D Unfortunately still working on it. I did a LHD steering swap. Easiest way would be if you can figure out how to separate the whole fire wall of the two and swap them.

Thats the plan, drill the spot welds and air chisel the panels apart. The least margin for error that way. I'll start a build thread soon.

No worries, I've got a call in on the LHD A/C box but it sounds spendy. That will be the big determining factor on 12 or 24 volt. If the parts to keep the AC are outrageous I'm going 12 volt. I have a complete 12Volt and a complete 24Volt truck so it just time and tinkering.
