left hand drive HJ-45 wagons; do they exist?

I'm a bit 45-challenged; wondering if, where and when left hand drive HJ-45 troopy's (wagons) were sold? Anyone have info, pics?

LHD HJ45/47 troop carriers (not wagons, the latter have four doors and are built on the MWB chassis, not the LWB chassis like the troopie and the pickup) are very common in Central America, especially Costa Rica and Panama.
 
Thanks for the clarification; so all Troopy's have only two doors. Was there ever a wagon that looked exactly like a Troopy, but had 4 doors? I am aware of the FJ45LV; not that; more of a Troopy look in the back ie with utility doors?

Not saying they didn't exist but not aware of an OEM version of this
 
Where is it located, Norway? Do you see many in Norway or other northern european countries?

This one is in Denmark. They never sold them in Norway. In Denmark Toyota sold many over the years, but there are not many left of them.
On E-Bay Germany you can find them, and also in Finland there ara some of them.

In Norway Toyota only sold 40 and 42, and maybe a few 45 over the years.
Now there is 12 45 pick ups, I have 3 of them:grinpimp::grinpimp::grinpimp:, and there is 2 45 trop carriers. But the 2 trop carriers is rigth hand imported from Australia.
 
I found a left hand drive Troopy (HJ47) for sale; only problem is that it is in Asia; a bit far away.
 
Steering conversion is $2K. You'd save a ton of money doing that to a RHD cruiser than buying a LHD one with Euros and importing.
 
If you're mechanically inclined, find a troopy in Central America and drive it home!! The pickups are hard to find in good shape as they work them to death. The wrecker had three troopies last time I was there but all were gassers.
 
jsaltlick: who does the conversions; you know? What do they use for the LHD dash; other models fit?

Kina at North Country Land Cruisers in Madison, NH does them (his handle on MUD is Cruiserland) also Poor Wally in VT. Also Proffitt's crusiers in CO.

They cut out the dash of the RHD and weld in a LHD from a donor truck. Then new steering is put in. I'm sure there's more to it but that's the guts of it all. All these guys do great work. PM Cruiserland for more info.

Definitely send some pictures. If there troopie orphans are in need of rescuing from the squasher, I'm willing to participate in getting them to safe homes in the U.S. Just have to find a major seaport in Guatemala. Direct by Train would be even better. I can see it now. An autotransporter full of Troopies heading north.
 
What's so very depressing, is that as the Chinese economy heats up, its voracious appetite for re-bar and concrete has started to deplete worldwide resources, and drive up costs here at home. Central America isn't the only area seeing its scrap yards crushing away. The luxury we as collectors had of letting future projects languish away at some junk yard, either here, or overseas, is coming to a close. Good, perhaps, for the general clean-up of a long-time eyesore; but bad news if we look at wreckers as outdoor parts counters. Gotta love progress!!
