I originally posted on this form in Jan of 2006 after buying our first LC. 8 years later now, we've finally outgrown it (anticipating a 5th child). Not many GOOD options for bigger 4wd vehicles but no doubt I will come back to a landcrusier as kids start leaving the house and driving on their own.

Haven't put it for sale yet but if anyone knows of anyone looking for one - have them PM me. I'll most likely post it to the classifieds in the next few weeks once I find a new vehicle.

Here's a few details:
2nd owner, 195k, completely stock. ALL service records, 2nd timing belt done 5k ago, needs nothing that I'm aware of and has no issues. Been a bullet proof rig. Done normal things like upgraded rotors/brakes, new starter in the last year. 4wd used a few times a year to get up our hill on the rare occasion we get snow here in Portland, Oregon. Garage kept most of it's life. Exterior is beige. Never been in an accident but does have a few scratches on the back bumper. Interior is clean, no rips or much wear but it's not perfect either. Floor mats could stand to be replaced. Recently put in an iphone jack - works great.

Although I haven't posted at all since owning it, I've frequently been a lurker and toyed with the idea of doing some mod's. Reality is my wife drove the LC and I have a tundra that i get to play with.

thanks for the great content here - much appreciated.

It's all good Nu, your math is just off. There's five seatbelts in the back, you and the wifey up front. Since you'll need some space for your stuff on trips get one of those tubs for the roof rack. All set!

But really, best wishes and congrats on the family. And see you in the 200 (or 400?) forum when those are the wise decision for old but nice.

Trust me - I've drooled over the sportsmobile for a long time but they're out of my price range with the way i'd want to customize it to fit our needs. Probably going to end up with the last year of excursions (2005) and by a 6.0. Will have to drop coin to bullet proof the issues with those though.

As an owner of a 6.0 that is a long road to travel down. We'll see you when you are ready for your next LC!

Also, powerstroke.org is good at helping with the 6.0L demons.
