Finally got a wheel that isn't coming apart but the plastic/rubber is very smooth. Has anyone installed a leather cover on an FJ62 wheel and can recommend a color and brand? I have the Grey/Blue interior.

Thanks,
Casey

I am a leather worker, I am planing on covering my steering wheel in leather, but I am getting passive agressively evicted (rent is getting doubled) from my space so It might be a month or two before I get a chance to the project on mine... I will post pictures when i get to it.

Wheelskins out of Berkeley, Ca is a reputable company. I have their product on my Tacoma and 60, lots of colors.

Second recommendation on Wheelskin. Picked one up on a recent order with SOR. Freshens up a tired looking steering wheel. Also like the additional thickness to the wheel. Personal preference I guess.

Seems like the best option. Just trying to guess the color to buy w/o ordering 3 and sending 2 back. I have the blue/grey interior. Thank you all for the insight.

I used the wheelskin, good product, final install looks great.
My only complaint is their gray cover is a little too light gray for me, darker would be better. Still not bad though.
Pull each stitch tight....mine got tighter as I went around, should’ve started tighter.

I went with the black and it looks great with the black switches, floor mats, ect. I have the blue grey interior.

My 60 is in Wyoming and I am working in Bakersfield/driving the 200. Sorry.

this is the one i have. i haven’t installed it yet. in the shade it’s a perfect match. in the sun it’s a little lighter than the steering wheel but not a lot different. much cheaper than getting a custom perfect match done though.

So...I want to know about your seat covers. Who did that? What are they? I’m bone stock but gonna have to start looking into a better seat cover. Cracked on the usual places.

does it cover the entire main steering wheel? IE, the parts that go towards the middle of the steering wheel? I don't want any of the plastic of the main wheel to be exposed. Just the horn area is fine.
