My suspension (Terrain Tamer) isn’t very old but there’s a definite lean. 😊

The dobinson had a lean and I think the TT parabolics have a lean. Was thinking of swapping the fronts see if that would straighten it out 🤷‍♂️
Perhaps I just need to go on a diet. 😁

I have leafs in the rear, but coils up front, so not sure if it will be the same.... however I have yet to notice a lean. But I had thought the lift kits were made to counter that? (the leafs have a left and right for installation).

That said, I used OME leafs in the rear and dobinson coils in the front. OME has a left and right for the rear leafs. Maybe the dobinsons and TT don't?

Did you get the new parabolics from Terrain Tamer? I was looking at those last week and wondering how they felt / performed vs regular leaf springs.

No sir.

The only suspension I had installed that didn't lean was the Tough Dog on the FJ73. I have OME on the HZJ77 and it has that slight lean. :meh:

I am not sure if Jason brings in Tough Dog kits for the 70 series anymore but I would swap out the OME with Tough Dog in the future.

Perhaps in the interim I’ll run by Home Depot and get a couple of bags of sand for the right side. 😁

Don't get too many bags or you will be the first to do the Carolina Squat in a 70 series.
This had me rolling. Thank God that's illegal now.

I wish I had looked into tough dog before installing OME.

But now I'm stuck with it. I've had the rear springs out so many times trying to get it level. Finally done.

I'd run to my vendor and get some kegs of beer 🍺 (Alcoho-free, of course: Don't drink and drive)
I tried a lot to figure a solution and get it level. Didn't succeed, so I take it as 'character' now.
If swapping springs side-to-side doesn't work, you can remove the lowest leaf from the pack. This leaf does nothing unless you are SUPER overloaded and absolutely pound the suspension. It's essentially a really long spacer until that point. Removing it drops that corner around a half inch.

Don't remove the leaf right above it. It does a lot more than it looks.

In order to get the rear level, I removed the bottom leaf AND the 4th leaf. That gave me about a 1.75 - 2.00" of drop after 500mi of driving and beating on it.

Hi @ATL Cruiser
Thanks for the advice. I heard about this earlier.
The point is: I'm in Germany. Any component of your running gear (and most other component like wheels, bumpers, lights, glassing) requires authority homologation here and is subject to biannual authority inspection. OME is the only brand that has approved aftermarket springs for our rig here (that's why OME anyways).
Tempering with the springs renders the homologation invalid and voids your insurance and license to operate the vehicle here.
But thanks for your help.
Best regards Ralf
