Whenever I had a leaky (drip) faucet in my house I would replace the cartridge and the springs under neath. Mine are delta faucets. Been doing it that way since I bought my first house 32 years ago (damn that sounds old)
The guy at Home Depot said I should just try and replace the springs at first, 9 times out of 10 the springs get compacted and then there isnt as tight a seal.
I have done that on two faucets this week and worked both times
Maybe you all knew that, but I learned something new and saved a few $$
