This is an all call to anyone who has seen this. I take my FJC to a car wash and when I drove out I had water spilling down from inside the dash. The other day it rained really hard in Houston and again it happened, but this time I think I've found the source: Leaking around the external vents. Anyone have problems or have seen this? Does anyone feel this to be a factory defect?

Cheers

Check your headliner where it meets up with the plastic a-pillar cover.

I had some major leaks when i installed my arb rack and the water was leaking in from the top, coming down the a-pillar, and dripping on my feet through the dash.

I have an ARB rack too and was wondering if the attachment points aren't the cause of this. What was your fix?

several people have had this problem with aftermarket racks. Make sure the bolts are tight and silicon the crap out of 'em.

I took mine into the dealer because water was coming down my "A" pillar. Turns out the ARB that I installed in place of my factory rack was leaking so they fixed it for me and even did it under factory warrenty.:grinpimp:

DOUBLE silicone the s*** out of em!

I drowned them in silicone and it wasn't enough. Went back and did it a second time with even more and shabam the leak stopped.

My ARB was dealer installed since they "couldn't obtain an OEM rack"...... at least not for the price they quoted me for an OEM rack methinks! So I laid out the extra cash and got the ARB instead and was installed at the dealership. Now I think I'll take it back and ask for them to kindly honor warranty thank you very much. Thanks for your comments guys.
