Leaking lift gate

Have any of you had a leaking/leaky lift gate? Any suggestions on how best to repair this?

My headliner around the lift gate was soaked this morning, and there was water on my WeatherTech cargo mat that should not have been there.

There have a been a few that have reported leaking around the 3rd brake light and have had to reseal it.

I've found some threads about the leaking on the left hand side (driver side) - mine seems far more prominent on the passenger side.
