1:15 pm Run out to Revy to get a 12 mm drill bit to drill holes in fairlead.
1:30 pm Back to the shop with a box of new drill bits. Phil arrived while I was out to remove a motor and prep a Cruiser to be towed from shop or so he thought…

2:45 pm Phil, Rob and myself finally able to convert Australian to Canadian and figure out how to finish mounting the winch. (Thank you Phil and I will be the first one there if you ever need a winch)

3:30 pm Time to make room for Phil to work (needs to remove the motor from a 60). Move all my parts to the side and help push Phil’s truck into the shop.
4:00 pm back to my truck for a bit as Rob and Phil finishes prepping to remove motor. Go to install ARB skid plate and find that I do need to remove stock skid plate after telling Rob during our disassembly that you only need to remove the optional if equipped…
4:20 pm finally get battle warn skid plate removed with some assistance from Rob. Mount the ARB skid plate and start fighting with to remount the stock skid plate. Finally decide that I will have to rebind the hooks on the front edge of the skid plate to allow it to fit as the ARB skid plate interferes while trying to remount it.
4:40 pm Phil and Rob have the Engine in the 60 ready to be removed.
I go and lend a foot as I give it a good kick to free it from the
engine compartment.
5:00 pm Skid plates remounted time to do the electrical. It is quickly decided that the signal lights will have to be removed to give us access to the wiring. Rob quickly removes the lights as I splice in the new wire harnesses

5:15 pm as I finished up the electrical Rob assembled the marker pods. Now the fun begins…

I agree Rod, that stock bumper looks pretty wussy, I'm sure when done out, an FJ Cruiser will look pretty cool. Good job Drew, on making your Truck, your Truck.
Cheers,
Deny

OK, now it doesn't "look" like a grocery getter. Very nice look.
