LC250 Prado Australian Reviews

I've been taking a dive into the Australian YouTube reviewers. They've put the 250 thru its paces - I'm a bit jealous of their time off the beaten path. They are largely very impressed with the 250. I understand they have different drivetrain options, but the capabilities shown by the 250 are hard to ignore.

I also wonder if some of their willingness to be impressed is b/c the Prado has been a staple of that market and therefore doesn't feel like they didn't get what they wanted - as many of the American LC fans do.

Any recommendation on which channels? Interested in watching a few but not a huge YouTuber and unfamiliar with a lot of the Australian pages.

This one consists of nonsense commonly passed as reviews, however they included a Hilux in their comparison on a trail course

Watched the first section or 1/3 of the video and then fast watched the rest. Very interesting to see how they tried the obstacles, and the Prado is not bad at all. Also, they model they bought does not have the rear locker which every 250 does here in the US. Jealous of course to see the 300 and Hilux we don't here .
Not a bad review, really.

I watched one last night that was largely positive. Owner was coming out of a Ranger with a full canopy set up. Now with the 250 pulling a caravan. His only complaint was his transmission temps were super high when towing. Like just below the warning red on the dash guage. He had also installed some heavy wheels/tires in 305/65r18. Stock suspension with airbags. I tow regularly and have considered an extra cooler if an easy install solution presents itself.

I think the fact they have had the Prado nameplate factors into their enthusiasm.
