After the disaster I had with the 2 inch Bora spacers/adapters and 22 inch rims on 285/45r22’s

Crazy run, blew a tire on the interstate while on a bridge and lugnuts broke in half while also adapters also fusing together.

Many members warned me it would happen and I still went in. In the end I had to get my car towed to the shop, had to drill out and hammer off the adapters and cost of the adapters = $1000.

I sold my 22’s inch chrome rims for $800 and also sold the adapters for scrap for $200 to offset the cost and failure that was.

Last week picked up some new wheels and tires from Discount Tires. Raceline 940c Hostages with some 285/50r20 Yokohama Parada Spec X. Absolutely no more rub and the bolt latter and hub bore size is correct the way it suppose to be. They are +12 offset rim different for the 60 offset the factory 18’s have. It gives it a nice 2 inch out stance without spacers.

The yok’s are amazing quietly and handle real nice. Both tires and rims have a load index of 2500lbs each so 10k total all around. This is my summer set up while my KO2’s are my winter set up.

Loving the new rise. Here’s some Photos of learning it the hard way.

Photos of the old set up with 22’s and the Bora spacers/adapters using a 6 bolt rim on the 5 bolt land cruiser.

The wheels stuck out about 4 inches and there was crazy rub in the front

With a busted flat driver wheel in the end, The shop haf to drill off the lock nuts because they broke in half fused onto the adapters. Took off the rims and sold them last week. Sold the adapters too.

Moral of the story

Should of listened to you veterans who told me
Not to be desperate and try to put things on that aren’t meant to be. Lucky no car accident or injury. Blew tire on interstate 94 crossing the St Croix River bridge.

Bloc told me not to do it and he was completely right.
