Hi!

I`ve had my Cruiser from about a year, and still I`m fighting with some minor electrical problems my Saudi friend left me...

Since I`ve bought a car there was always a problem with air control panel - recirc and outside air flow.

Recirc button worked for about one - two days. Then the light on panel died (button too), and the only way to turn recirc was pollen filter which of course turns off after 3-4 minutes.
Outside air flow button was working fine.
Then last few days pollen filter button died (no light on it), so I`m left only with outside air flow. Both recirc and pollen not working.
I looked around air cabin filter, got it out, moved the actuator and plugs and I`ve got my pollen filter button back. But still no recirc. The flap on blower directing air from recirc to outside is working fine, nothing is stuck.

Also the "rear" button does not work from the beginning - I don`t even know if I have this option :D

Winter is coming in Poland, and it`s getting colder and colder, so I have to sort out these problems :/

p.s. diagnosis combination auto+outside air flow during IG mode doesn`t work too :D

p.s. 2 foto below (panel) after car was bought - recirc button still working!!

I had the same recirc problem. What I did was pull the passenger side kick panel off and look above to where the HVAC fan is housed. Above the fan there is the housing where hvac filter is housed. Inside the fan house you can see above the filter is the outside /inside flap that is actuated when selecting recirc. I noticed the the flap (axle?) and the hardware attached to it outside of the housing had came off. I reached up, wiggled it around and was able to seat the turning gear back onto the flap.
Once I did this the flap was able to work again. I think whats happens is that when someone puts an incorrect cabin air filter into the car, the flap gets caught and skips off the motor gear that actuates the recirc flap.
You can check the recirc operation by looking in through the cabin air filter slot with a flashlight and a small inspection mirror. Watch the flap while selecting the recirc button.

Hm. I have removed cabin filter and checked the mechanism. everything seems fine and working. still no response from air panel... :(
