Just installed they were great. It's just the 4 btw not the furthest back. Those are the hardest to change. I had them changes in 30 minutes without previous experience. Maybe longer if you have to clean a decent amount.

I got the wrong ones a couple times before getting the right ones, but they worked perfectly and look great (eBay)

What does it takes to replace these trim pieces, easy to pop off and replace or a does it require a bit more effort?

Are you replacing because the seal starts to fail or is this more cosmetic?

I did the exterior trim along with the window seals and interior trim piece (remove door panel). 1 banana job for sure. Sourced Toyota parts from IMPEX.

I got the ones in the link. Don't look OEM but for the price far better than the peeling 25yo ones. Totally fine for me

I swapped mine with OE a few years ago. And yeah, it's a super easy and very satisfying job - makes the truck look 10 years newer.

But, if they're just faded, you can bring them back with a buffer. Treat them like old paint, e.g., aggressive cut - less aggressive - polish. Here's a before and after in one pic - cleaned up the back door molding before the front.

But once it gets like this, it's time to replace them.

While on that subject - those black plastic trim pieces on the doors will also clean up nicely with a buffer - but be gentle, i.e., a mild polish and soft pad is all it takes. Same "before and after" - did the left side before, right side after.

Thank you. This was useful because I actually want to replace that trim as well. However, I was looking for experience regarding the moulding along the mid section of the vehicle rather than the window trim.
