I'm not a knowledgable car guy, but what I know in particular that the oil light turns on 1400 miles on the clock. I've taken it to the shop and told me it cannot be the valve seals because otherwise it the oil consumption wouldn't be this bad. Now I need an assurance on whether this is true or not.

The car started to consume oil after 2700 miles 3 years ago, over the years this number reduced to 1400 and soon the engine will not be usable if I can't figure it out, and the shops want to eat my wallet alive.

Needs details. Year vehicle, mileage, amount of consumption etc.
FYI the 2UZ is VERY good on oil and any notable consumption is def the sign of a significant issue.

@tabraha

2005 landcruiser 100 with 125k miles on it. And the engine is the old toyota 1FZ-FE, It's the middle eastern model and they kept selling LC's with these engine equipped until 2008.

The oil light start to lit after 1400 miles. I don't know how many quarts does it take exactly to lit the oil light but my personal guess is 2 quarts.

That's a lot. Do you see blue smoke coming out of the exhaust? It should do it a lot considering how much oil you have lost, but it will show itself the most (if it is a smaller leak) upon startup. This is because oil still pushes past a leaking valve seal for a little bit when shutting the engine off, and the oil pools in the cylinder. When you start the vehicle later, the oil in the cylinder combusts and comes out of the exhaust as a heavy puff of blue smoke.

(Sorry it's my fault for not mentioning the car came with an 1FZ-FE engine)

Nothings visible from the exhaust when idling or even moving, but when pushing the engine to 5000 rpm and change the gear, a huge grey smoke pops out of the exhaust.

Also theres barely a white smoke after cold start but only for 30 second, then disappears.

Sorry I should've read the comment more carefully.

I whe adding 1 quart, it last about 1000 miles before the light start appearing again.

At 247k. Miles when I pull the dipstick on my 2000 cruiser it's still on full after 5000 miles per oil change. From what I can tell I use zero oil. Crazy good engine. Wonder what's wrong with yours?

A lot of us here have owned 80's with the 1FZ-FE, but you might get better answers on the 80's forum, where most of them are running the 1FZ-FE, and for this question, you'll likely have more in common with the high-mileage 80's crowd than the bulk of the people here, who's 2UZ-FE's just don't burn much oil.
