...It's hard to get in here and talk though when you don't have a rig yet.

Shouldn't be. I hung out for a long time on mud (before the BSLCA) and just read a bit.

..you're always welcome.

Luck w/ the wife... let me know if you need me to write her an email. I've had decent success. :D ....to my own detriment ;p

I think Poisso sealed the deal today with that rig. And that was the easy part. Now we gotta go get it and deliver it to N LA.

Now, those rod holders you mentioned could also serve a dual role as rubber boot drying stands! A-ha! :flamingo: We needed you in here Ryan to get the creative juices flowing.

Rebecca saw this rig at Tom's auto repair shop on Verot today so I had to swing by. No one was there but left a card. I hope its someone getting it worked on to make the meetings. :)

Just say NO to the Beep lights people

Another attempt at a new recruit while talking on the phone with Theriot. Went something like this hey man gotta go bad ass FJ here. I roll down the window to ask them to pull over to give them a card and there is this good looking gal looking eye to eye like "What are you looking at"

So no card, but keep an eye out for her or the rig and slip a card on it. You won't miss it fresh new lift with some 35's looks great. :)

Yep, that looks like the Black FJ40 I remember from years ago at the old Land Cruiser club meets...probably IS it...I'm sure he'd be interested in our group.

X2 defintley him with new rims and tires. :)

Okay, so I know where my FIRST FJ40 ever is now....gonna ask about it and whether or not I can buy it back! Its got fresh paint and been in storage (also has NON USA Carb setup)

I couldn't believe those lights on the brown one...crazy...anyway, I'm guessing its a early 67-73 model.

Hey, one of you mentioned a while back that you knew where my old green 1972 FJ40 was located (between Cameron and Congress I think). Anyone know who owns it? Spoke with the owner?

Props to Rebecca for recognizing it and bringing it to your attention.

I saw it up on the stand today at Tom's. It wasn't in the parking lot this afternoon so it was either in the garage still or done.

I called Tom's to make sure they got the card to the owner and it was finished today.

Land Rover update:

I will post pics here. The Rover had a For Sale sign on it this AM. Ran into the owner, Freddy DeCourt. Turns out that he's had numerous collectibles over the years. I took pics of his Rover a while ago...also, check out the International Harvester (the Rover is a 1972 model ) The International is NOT for sale and he wants to buy another on Ebay thus the sale of the Rover:

I told him that I'd post the pics for him. He plans to drive by our show tomorrow. He wants to sell it FAST and get another International Truck. The International is a 30's model. The motor is imaculate. He likes 100% original in a rig. The Rover is 1972 model with a 4-cyl Gasoline engine. It needs work. He bought it in Gretna. Has had dozens of nice collectibles. I have his numbers:

337-364-8548

337-519-1104

Said he's looking to sell the Rover FAST. Any Rover fans should apply.

How much is he selling the Rover for?

I can see that being a good rig for a hunting guide service.

X2 would be perfect fo that.
