60 + 40 + 80 = divorce

OK, I can settle for 60/40 or 80/40 until the kids get out of school then it'll be 40,45,55,60,80 and maybe a 100 for the wife. :D The wife stole the Corolla from me and I hate spending all the gas to drive this trailblazer its going in the quik quarter. If I'm going to spend all the $ on gas I rather it be something I like to drive. I'll be in the 40 until I find something to my liking:) insert 60 or 80 here :D

Larry, look for an 80 with factory lockers. It's easier and cheaper to find an 80 in better shape than you find a 60. Of course, the 60 is a "cooler" rig because of its age and looks. However, the 80 is a very capable rig off road. Plus, the mods to lift it are a lot less expensive (coil vs spring). I'm always scouring the marketplace and believe me, you can get a nice 80 with decent miles that would cost less than a 60 in worse shape.

Totally agree Armond, I've been looking around at the 80's since we got back from Gilmer. Saw one in Birmingham with factory lockers for 7K a month ago. Right up my alley. :) I'm a nut I want them all and this blue 60 is very nice.

I had written an exhaustive post, but decided to just wait for the links to the E-locked FZJ80's that are LESS than FJ60's (which in my opinion your are nuts to pay over 4k for in any condition, since they go for 3k all the time on SOR's site with rebuilt motors and rebuilt trannys) They just sold an immaculate one in New Iberia for 4k with a rebuilt motor. ANyway, when you find the E-locked FZJ80 for 3-4k, call me, b/c I need the E-lockers.

Nite.

..... I need the E-lockers.

There's that word again... "Need" I too use it often. My :princess: doesn't always see "need" as I do.

... and Theriot.. I want you to order some ARB's w/ me b/c misery ($$) loves company!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still here Marty, i check up on things when i get a chance. It's hard to get in here and talk though when you don't have a rig yet.

can't wait, just have to help me convince the wife. i was fine till she saw the pics the other day. we'll convince her though. might have to let things cool down from this pregnancy though. she driving us nuts being bed ridden.

You have to teach her to see the potential of what it will be. I had to do the same with my wife. She's understanding now when I bring home yard fixtures. I always avoid the question about $ it'll take to get it where it needs to be. ;)

that's nice. not quite what i had in mind when i told you about the gun racks though. trust me, this is definitely reliable when i say the gun has to be pointed down for two reasons; you don't want the gun to go off if it is facing up (it scares you bad enough when you shoot a hole in the floor, at least this way you know where the bullet is going), second if you need to get the gun out fast (let's say for an undisclosed reason) you want the gun already facing down so that it is faster to get to your shoulder for those quick shots!

unfortunately they were not my ideas, just ones i've seen and helped build in the past. you remember my old truck, i used to prop it up between the seats with the barrel in the ac return on the floor. same situation, just no mount. we'll see when the time comes!

I know we've all seen him, I'm pissed I was out of the office when he was here today but the boss took some pics with his phone and asked if I knew him. We need to catch up to him. :)

I'm thinking about installing some rod holders on my roof rack for when I take my rig down to the beach to fish for specks. Now that you have me thinking gun racks, I need to get creative and see what I come up with for my truck

make it a tube that you slide the rods into (for ex: pvc thats been painted and fixed to not look redneck). i have a few ideas. very inexpensive. we'll make it look right, if you want.

Poisso

welcome to my element (afro ingenuity at its best) but done right!
