I love it. Built for a specific use case - global travel. Sleeping area, table to work, still fits in a shipping container. They only built a few so far but I would love to buy one.

Any guess on price once one is available? $250k?

That's awesome.

I just listened to their overland journal podcast where they covered this vehicle at the end. It’s about as cool as I expected, I’m guessing $300k. It looks like no expense was spared.

I wrote up a little bit in the picture thread but I'll post here too -

I got a chance to drive down to Moab in this truck and spent a couple days with it there. Really incredible build. The camper only adds a net +400 lbs (after removing the entire rear end) and it honestly feels like a stock 200 when driving in it. Handles the trails great and has a nice departure angle.

Fit and finish is top notch and the interior is super quality. I love that you could camp inside stealth mode too without popping the top if you want.

It also fits inside a standard garage and/or conex box which is pretty incredible for a camper like this. The biggest downside for me (besides the price) is that it's only two seats - but given the price bracket this probably isn't aimed at young families and makes more sense for an older couple or whatever.

It's basically turnkey, the only thing I would change would be tires since I'm a Toyo fanboy. But it's ready to go and you can tell that every single detail has been really though through. This truck is basically 7 continents and 2 years of actual overland travel distilled into the perfect vehicle.

Overall really incredible and if I had $300K to spare I would 100% be driving around the southwest in this on my solo trips.

I love these things. I think about the closest I could afford though would be a Tundra with a 4Wheel camper. Trucks like this are so specialized that I’d have a hard time justifying the price tag as a weekend warrior.

Agreed. Personally I'd like to get a GFC setup for my Tacoma and call it a day. Wouldn't have water or a kitchen but much less complex and I'd feel better about getting it dirty inside.

Right? More straight forward ways to get to a pretty awesome camping setup.

The form and righteousness of this setup though!!!

Hard to believe it is $300k, I’d think possibly $300k not including the 200. I’ve beeen watching them for years and nice Used 70 series similar camper builds are $200-$250k.

Crazy baller build but I think you can get 90% there and 1/2 price with a sprinter van.
It's definitely not for everyone. I will say I had a sprinter van as a production vehicle for several years and it was the absolute worst off-road. I rode in it a couple times and decided to let the PAs and grips drive it when we had to hit dirt. haha

That said I would love to get a Sprinter and put a motorcycle inside along with a sleeping setup. That would be legit.

I'm kind of partial the the Alucab bed setup, but in my experience the Tacoma/Tundra experience is a far cry from the 200. Too bad a ute chop isn't as common here, since they really seem to be the best of both worlds.

Sprinter 4x4 definitely no where near as good as a LC200 off road, for sure. I've seen some nice Sprinter 4x4 raised heavy duty suspension camper vans out in CO.

Strap a KTM 500 EXC on the back of the sprinter van and you got yourself a solid setup!

Sprinters upfited are in the $200k+ Plus range...
and in a different league than the 200 heritage off road (by that I mean less suited than a 200).
I think the camper conversion is about 100K and you need to ship it to them in Germany, the rest of the stuff is bolt on bits available here In the states.

Exactly why I went with a GFC for my truck. I wanted simple and no frills. Exactly what I got. I love it.
