LC 200 only starting with delay/engine sometimes stops when idling

Hi, our LC 200 (2018 model, diesel, 1VD-FTV engine) has since recently developed starting problems. The starter does the job, kicks in normally and disengages. Then the engine idles very roughly at low rpm with a lot of clicking noises before either starving again or fully powering up. This happens very unregular, in 90 percent of the cases the engine starts without any problems. In addition to this we experienced also very unregularly a situation where the engine just shut down at idle e.g. when waiting at a traffic light and when trying to restart had the above mentioned behaviour. There are no error codes in the system, no engine warning light.
