I'm looking for a good home for my 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser, Glacier White (color code 045) with gray interior.

  • Factory equipment includes Towing package (trailer hitch and transmission oil cooler), a locking center differential, ABS brakes (ABS light is currently on and has been for years with no issues), a sunroof (sealed shut by the previous owner), leather upholstery, Factory 16” wheels painted black, power-adjustable door mirrors, power-operated door windows (3 are slowing down I replaced the drivers), Power-operated antenna (works as it should), and cruise control.
I’ve been the owner since 2010, and I've driven it very little over the years. I had always planned to drive out west and do Moab, but life happens. For 7 of the last 8 years, she was my daily driver, but my commute was only 15 miles. She is a pavement queen. I’d be willing to bet the previous owner did more off-roading with her in stock configuration than I did. This is one of my favorite cars I’ve ever owned, and I did my very best to take care of her, as I had never thought I’d consider selling her. This, for me, was my forever car, and I treated it like that. I’m not saying she's perfect, but we all know these things are way overbuilt from the factory, and if I had an impactful issue, I dealt with it; if I didn't have an impactful issue, I put up with it till I could address and fix the issue. I have done an awful lot over the years, and I’m sure I’m going to miss or forget some things, but here is a list of the highs and lows. I’m very open about what needs to be done or what I think could/should be done, so if you have questions, please feel free to ask. I could talk about these cars all day.

  • Things of Note / Modifications
    • I have a huge folder with receipts and documents from me and the previous owner
    • Custom Audio System with 10” sub in rear quarter,
    • Sound deadening over the entire floor.
    • The rear heater under the passenger seat has been deleted (it was leaking, so I removed it).
    • Bluetooth CD head unit with phone mic
    • Two custom mount phone holders
    • All Door Speakers have been upgraded
    • Suspension Lift 3” (Iron Man)
    • Metal Tech Sliders (I sold them to the wife by calling them steps—LOL)
    • Snorkel
    • Lifetime LED headlights (I have all the paperwork, and they have honored the "lifetime" in their name once already replacing the lights once)
    • Full-size Spare kit from Wits End (works when you remove the trailer hitch)
      • If going on long trips or off-road, I’d take the trailer hitch off and mount the spare. Most of the time, I ran without the spare around town if I needed to haul a trailer or something.
    • Fire Extinguisher mounted on driver's rear quarter next to rear hatch
    • 315/75/16 BFG all terrains with full spare
    • Tinted 20% on front doors, the rest has 20% tint on top of the factory tint.
    • Some say this is a poverty pack because it has no factory roof rails, but she has sliding rear glass, Instead, she has 4 gutter mount Thule roof racks with keys
    • Rear hatch has yodaTEQ- Rear Antenna / Light Mounts (lights have been removed)
    • Older style TJM rock/ winch bumper (has taken a few small hits)
    • Added the 60 Series hood prop, but you can replace the struts; they are still in place.
    • I have 2 service manuals that go with her, they are for a 1995, but 90% of the info applies to the 1994
    • She is not fast, but she will do 75-80 mph down Interstate 85 or 20 no problem.

Known Flaws

  • Paint has issues; the previous owner had the whole car painted and added a clear coat. The clear coat is failing in random places. She cleans up good, but not factory paint.
  • Some exterior chips, scratches, and dings (she's not new.. LOL)
  • Passenger-side rear door has some not-so-great body repair from the previous owner
  • Driver side rear cargo sliding window needs a new louvered quarter side window vent (doesn’t cause an issue, but it needs one)
  • Wear on the driver's seat and some of the interior touchpoints
  • Tiny hole on dashboard from suction cup phone mount falling into the dash, which is why I replaced it with the custom holders (much more sturdy)
  • Trip odometer doesn’t always work, but the mileage is correct and works fine (not sure why)
  • The clam shell around the steering column is broken (it's been like this for the last 15 years of my ownership ship. They are expensive and can be hard to find, so I never replaced them. (currently mounted with zip ties, but is off in the photos)
  • ABS light is on (it could be a sensor, but as I stated, it never bothered me and doesn’t impact the brakes at all)
  • As stated above, the windows are slow. I replaced the driver’s window motor, so it’s the fastest. They all work as they should, just have to be patient with them. All the window gaskets are new, just the motors need cleaning or replacing.


Most Recent work includes:

Full front-axel rebuild, July 2023 (bearings, gaskets, grease, gear oil (all parts sourced from Cruiser Outfitters)

Brake overhaul, July 2023: New rotors on all 4 corners and new pads

Sept 2021 – New OEM radiator, hoses, and thermostat. While I was in there, I also did the oil pump gasket (was weeping), fan clutch (new oil), distributor O-ring, water pump, belts, Power Steering lines (low- and high-pressure lines), installed block drain, OEM air filter, upgraded all the ground cables, and put in a new charcoal canister.

Oil is changed every 3K miles or every 6 months. (I converted the oil drain plug to a Fumoto Plug for easier oil changes. (Fun fact: a 5-gal bucket will slide under her, making oil changes a breeze.))

The Pesky Heater Hose was done using the gates kit, and I replaced the water control valve.

The windshield was replaced in August 2019.

Injectors were cleaned, remapped, and the fuel filter was replaced in 2017 by TrollHoles Cruisers, an awesome shop in SC (I'm originally from Greenville SC, and they did a lot of work on her till I moved in 2018)

  • Factory miscellaneous dash switches (was going to wire lights to them, never got around to it)

I got a question about the trailer hitch setup and the full-size 315/75/16 spare (Joey’s clever solution for raising the spare seen in 1st image). Right now, I’ve got the factory hitch on and the spare is off because I was using a smaller trailer and needed the ball mount to sit lower. Can't fit a full spare with the factory hitch.

The other option, (second image) which works great, is to run the full-size spare and swap in the hitch setup shown in the photos below. That hitch is available and can be included in the sale if you're interested.

Some questions came up about the paint, bodywork and sunroof so here are some closer photos.

The hood has rock chips and surface rust. I never felt it was an issue but also don't think it would take much to touch it up if you want.

And a few more closer photos of the questionable body work on the rear passenger side door from the previous owners... honestly it's probably a good candidate for a full door replacement if you want it perfect. The bondo is starting to crack

I will answer any questions about it as honestly as I can but please understand it's a 31 year old Land Cruiser that has done Land Cruiser stuff so the paint and body isn't perfect. A lot of these dents and scratches were like this when I got it and honestly it made it easier to use because I wasn't worried all the time about getting a scratch or a rock chip on fresh paint. It was cared for as best as I could but it wasn't a trailer queen.

BEAUTIFUL rig. Wow. Are you running any wheel spacers with this OEM wheel and 315/75 tire setup? Or is that how it looks with no spacers?

Also, any interest in selling the Wit's End front axle rebuild poster? I always regretted not getting one when there was still a chance.

P.S I believe 045 paint code is actually called "Super White" which I've always thought was a bit odd since this oem single stage color has a slightly yellow/warm white look to it. It's noticeable when you park it next to other newer cars that are a more pure white color.
