I am looking for a solution to lock my bench seat from folding down at will. Wondering if anyone has implemented a locking latch solution. My bench seat's bracket style is similar to the one pictured below:

I have a spring clip that sorta holds the passenger bench in place, otherwise......get a date who doesn’t need A/C

Could one use the back frame from an fj40 and the pivot and add the two mounting holes to the bottom frame? The only real difference is the pass bottom has extra seating area that sticks out on the pass side. The backs look the same. I don't have real fj45 seats here to compare. I could compare later this year. I believe a stock 40 drivers seat will mount right up to a 45 bottom frame. I think i mailed Brian my 45 drivers seat less the bottom mount. And I reused the 45 bottom mount with a 40 seat that locks.
