Before I get burned! I have searched and searched but found no specific answer to my question! There is tons of info for 16" wheels and FZJ80 Stock lift combo, but none for the 17" size.

Anyhow, I just picked up a set of Sequoia 17" wheels that I need to get some rubber for, and I am not sure what would be the biggest size I could use with no lift!

I preffer the tall and skinny look, and I don't plan on using any spacers.

Any advice from the Mud WiseMen is welcome. :grinpimp:

wheel size will have no effect on what tire size you could run so those answers should apply to you to. Basically 33'' unless you only drive straight and dont ever go over bumps while turning, then 35'' :D

OK so maybe perhaps wheel width could affect the tire size that would fit but mostly only a concern for when youve gone to a wider wheel instead of narrower like you have. The backspacing will also slightly affect width of tire run only because you will be sitting inboard one inch further than stock wheels. Wide tires would possibly rub sooner on the flares and frame at full steering lock and on the rear frame under compression.

255's are a nice size and a bit on the tall/skinny size

My experience with Sequoia wheels says; they will move the tire center line inboard ~1/2-5/8" This can/will cause rub issues with bigger tires. If 1" wheel spacers were added, makes for a better than stock setup from a rub perspective. My guess is 295/70R17 would be no problem, maybe 35x12.5R17 with little issue, depending on shock length/flex?

Thanks guys
