Personal experience w/new G500.....2002, 1st year MBNA brought them into the USA. Looked good, but otherwise
many issues (electrical mostly). Doubt I ever got better than 10MPG.

If I recall it was high $70K back then. Went back to LC later that year.

That's O.G. stuff right there.

Sweet ride. I wouldn't mind having a black one with portals, and some MTs!

No doubt the G is a German Tank. shutting the door is like shutting a bank vault. I just never liked them for some reason......even the poverty pack models.
Give me a Land Cruiser 80/105 or basic 200/Y61 Patrol any day over a pov pack G and don't get me started on the pimp wagons. Then again i wouldn't mind getting one of those 6x6 G's as a gift just so i can sell it and keep the cash to spend on better things.

After seeing the sales numbers showing the G-wagon slightly outselling the LCs. I am thinking those G's must be as prone to regional hot spots as the LCs almost never see a G around here in KS/OK area. I know from past experiences when searching for LCs or LXs, that the popularity of the LC and LX as well seems very regional. There are hot spots for them, east coast, VA, Main, NY, FL,AR,GA then comes mountain regions, and few in CA. Where are the hot spots for those G's, I am guessing CA would be one for the bling bling G-wagons.

See G Wagons fairly regularly here in my part of northern CA. There are 3 or 4 running around my town. I've only seen one other 200 here, though there are also a couple of LX570s and a number of previous generation LCs - 100s and 80s.
