This original FJ45 3 speed manual was manufactured in 1966
This vehicle is believed to be the oldest Landcruiser in Kenya with the bodywork unmodified

Mileage 173,000 miles

Petrol engine 3878 cc

Only three owners; in current ownership for more than 30 years. The first owner was Ted Nightingale, who was British Governor in Equatoria Province in the Sudan before Independence.

Mechanically, believed to be in good condition

Heavy duty suspension

Bodywork – reasonable. Some rust, but not extensive. Rattles as befits age.

Interior – seats reupholstered – otherwise reasonable and unmolested.

I am trying to find out what interest there might be in this unusually standard vehicle with the patina that is to be expected given its' age but in good general condition. More details and photos can be sent if required. I am based at Gumtree 4x4 Ltd in the UK but will be going to Kenya shortly and do regular business with customers in Kenya.

Hello, what's the price. I might be interested price allowing. Please email.

Thanks Tim

Holy s***..

Ok, I'm totally tripping out here... My grandparents had that exact color combo 45LV with what appears to be the exact same rack in the very early 70s.

The crazy part is they were living in KENYA with it! What are the odds?

What is the asking price?
Sorry Mel, like others I did not get notified of your post. Price is open to debate and comments are welcome as we really do not know what the true value of something so old and original and where best to sell it. Shipping can be arranged to anywhere if worthwhile......

The value of this Cruiser is alittle weird to figure due to it's location. It has been repainted but looks mostly original besides that. In the states it would and should easily sell for over $20K IMO. It looks to be a great LV.

That's a nice looking truck.
I'll give you CDN$5000 and you deliver it to the nearest shipping port.
Once I know the port and have copies of the title I'll send you a cheque for US$25,000 and after you pay the shipper, wire me back what ever is left over.

Who were your grandparents?? It is a small world!
It would should've been registered under Sterling Doughty if you have access to previous registration info.
