And yes, that is not a typo; I have pulled 3 speeds out of '75s and even '76s with the 4 speed case.

that red knob is COOL!. do you know what this was used for? did they have winches on the back of fire trucks?

I know some markets had three speeds thru the 80 model and rumor even made to fit split case in poverty equipped cruisers. Partly because of the easy way they could be rebuilt anywhere.

I'll let Mark answer but believe red is a give away.

Mark, how exactly does this mount? Do you have any other pictures of the gearbox part? I might be interested in this. I have wanted to rig a cruiser up with a rear pto output to run a generator.

IIRC (lecture from Marv decades ago) it ran a thru pump, stream to fire hose.

Pull off the six bolt cone that covers the tailshaft, remove the collar that covers the tailshaft splines, disassemble the PTO and reassemble onto the tailshaft.

I see. If you can hook me up i'm interested.

I will probably never use it, but I think it is cool.

Pic of the red knob is upside down but I think it says "Morita" (モリタ) in the middle.
On the Top "引く...ポンプ回転” Pull . . . Pump Rotation

Thank you. I meant to ask if anyone could provide a translation of the writing.

Make it $425 and you've got a deal.

I can put those rear door pins in the same box if you still want to buy me out.

Thanks, however I found some used ones in great shape. I am still hunting for a rear oem FJ25 bench seat and a few other early parts if you have any new or used early stuff laying around.
