Hello guys and thanks for adding me! I'm new in the group and have 1988 land cruiser from couple of weeks ago and today it does not start.its cranking normally but does not start. I was in one garage and they said imho problem but they can't help. The question is can i do something about turning it of or bypass it...sorry if there is another post with this problem just new in this water...
thanks in advance

I have a 13BT engine.
What kind of motor does your truck have?

Its J70 1988 with turbo diesel engine/5sp manual trans. Will attach picture of it below and picture of this stupid immo. The red lamp under steering is blinking and there is no power to the fuel/injection pump which for me means this immo does not let signal going to the pump.. the problem is that there already had a lot of cutted cables from previous owner but still think this is not a problem cause the truck was working fine till yesterday ..

Pretty sure this had an engine swap. The 1KZ-TE didn't come around until 1993ish.

Can you post a picture of the data plate on the firewall?

That said I bet someone swapped the whole wire harness over which included a factory immobilizer ECU:
part 89780-60030:

8978089780-600300104.1996 - 01.1998COMPUTER ASSY, TRANSPONDER KEYKZJ9#,VZJ95..RHD

Which puts that a 96-98 engine according to the part number. Was probably an alarm/electric door lock setup. The body of yours is an older LJ70 that probably didn't have that stuff so you have an issue trying to get it reset/removed.
I'm going to guess you don't have the Key FOBs that have unlock/lock buttons? If so, it's as simple as replacing the batteries, pressing both lock/unlock keys for 2 seconds

Could be the Toyota System 5000 alarm?

Either way, you are probably going to have to figure out how to remove that immobilizer. Sounds like lots of wire spices so you have some work to do. Get a factory manual for the 1KZ-TE and the 1988 LJ70 and dig in.

I'd start with some serious google:

forum 1kzte immobilizer - Google Search

KZJ78 starting problem

Hope that helps, good luck.

The immobilser maybe just cutting power to the injection pump fuel cut solenoid( if they have one). If so, you can run a wire to the + terminal to the solenoid. You should hear a click if the solenoid is activated.
