Wanted Land Cruiser in Texas

A while back I posted a WTB for a FJ60. I'm opening up to almost anything. I'd really like to buy something from Texas or surrounding states. I'll consider driving far if it's worth it.

I'm looking for any cruiser except the following: FJ62, 1991-1994 FJ80, 1998 +. (not really looking for a 55 either, but would consider it.)

Stock or built. Under $8000. Rust free or close to it. Miles don't really matter. Trade maybe?

I may or may not be in town. I'm a student at Texas State and am kind of going back and forth between San Marcos and my home town in Rockport pretty often. I'll let you know for sure by Thurs. or Fri. if I'll be in town. I'd be interested in looking at it.

I could meet you in Victoria or Goliad if you are headed home that way. Or you are welcome to stop by our house. We are not to far from Goliad, and depending on the way you go home, you may be driving by our house.

Should have known you lived on the coast with a name like FishTown.

call it a dumb reason, but i'm not real fond of the dash and steering wheel. i'd rather go with a 40 or 60 anyways. but i suppose i may consider some 93/94 cruisers if you have one. definitely not a 62 or 91/92 though. don't like the 62s and would rather have the newer engine vs the 3Fe.

I could stop in Victoria. What time of day is convenient for you? I'm still not exactly sure when I'm coming back.

I have not seen this cruiser in person, but I know Miles and they seem to take care of their stuff.

1987 Toyota Land Cruiser

I may go look at it just to see how it rides on the OME setup since I'm looking for a lift for mine.

Bought one!

Scratch that, I'm now the proud owner of a 1964 FJ40. Picking it up this weekend in Placerville, CA. $3850 for something that should've gone for $10,000+.

Pictures to come in the 40's thread. Anyone know of some good intermediate trails up there? I'd love to do the Rubicon, but I want some experience first.
