I may have missed it on this thread, but what are we doing about lunch?

While the 45 actually started and ran last night, there is still a rather long list of items that need done before Colorado can happen. I'm afraid I will be taking advantage of a full Saturday to spend working out the bugs in all the systems.

Have fun and share pictures...

So, I had some clear coat peel on my hood and decided to make it look better for the Charlotte show. I screwed it up and now feel like I got a big pimple just before the big dance. It doesn't look bad from a distance, but it's cloudy when up close. Fortunately, it's temporary, but it'll need some makeup.

Don't feel bad.... my truck is idling like crap, has a bad exhaust rattle and is leaking axle oil. (may or may not be able to get to that and fix, temp patch for the show

I know what the idle and exhaust rattle is but don't have the time or parts to fix before it.

Well, I've got my dual battery in, but the cables haven't been run. Never got a chance to mount the inverter, secondary fuse block, wire the switches to the lights or the aux outlets...

Still have to pick up the cooler attachment, clean it, prime it, and paint it.

So, it's still a work in progress...

I finally had a muffler tip welded into place and then cleaned the exhaust stains off the rear quarter panel from running 3 months w/o tip. Hopefully I will figure out a temperorary fix for the hanging headliner over the front passenger, so it doesn't look like an eyesore.

Jerry, you going to send down a 12 pack of your newest creation with el jeffe??

I know in the past some have used picture matting aresol adhesive to get headliners back into place. Leaves the visible side sticky for a litte while but wears off and backside usually stays in place.

I'll try and throw up a bunch of pictures from former rides to play in the background. If you have any that you want included, let me know the location, or PM me for my email if you don't already have it.

Brian,
what are you talking about doing here?

If anyone wants to meet up before the event, i'm going to be at the shell station right next to it at about 10-1030

If you live in or around Charlotte and are on Facebook, please consider posting something about the car show on your "wall." I did last night and so far have heard from several neighbors and friends that they are going to try and swing by and check it out. I also emailed a couple friends that aren't on Facebook and I think they are going to stop by as well. (I think they are hoping to better understand my addiction.)

Cirbo - I suggest you take the 45 for a test drive and swing by for a hot dog around 1 pm. Can I bribe you to come by promising to bring the light buckets I got from Al a while back?

Safe travels for those of you coming from out of town.

I dont want to jinx it ..but it looks like we will be coming by with a total of 3 vehicles our regular car, and a uhaul to tow a second-vehicle-which-shall-not-be-named-until-the-sale-is-final

Will it be okay for us to park our roadtrip circus with the rest of ya'lls out back?

Can I get my membership tomorrow at the show?
Or will there be some weird hazing ritual first?

Brian,
what are you talking about doing here?

I made some "photo-collages" in poster size and mounted the to some foam core that I'll bring. I'll also see if I can bring down a small TV/DVD player to play the slideshows/videos I've made of past events. I'll need power to run it, will bring my inverter to run it off 12v if thats all we can come up with...

Martin,

Bring a thumbdrive of some pictures of your build, if you want any added to our slideshow. It will just play in the background for a little added media to our show.

I've also got some TLCA applications to bring. I can also whip up some ONSC applications, as I don't think we have any official paper-based version....

Also, we did it for the Leith show we did with NCFJ Cruisers, a little "Spec Sheet" of your modifications and additions in case people are curious, but don't want to ask....
