The GM at Scott Clark's Toyota wants to host a Land Cruiser Car Show on Saturday, June 23rd from 11 am to 3 pm. They'll have hot dogs, popcorn and drinks.
Our fearless leader, Brian, has said he plans to attend and will bring all the materials the club had at the last car show event (brochures, calendar of rides, pictures, etc.) so we'll look "official".
This event would be in lieu of our June gathering at Mac's Speedshop. I suspect we'll head somewhere nearby for bar food and cold beer at 3 pm.
I'd like to see not only a good turnout but a good cross-section of LCs, stock, heavily modified and in-between. So far, Mark (Cruisn'Carolina) with his mostly stock and ridiculously clean 80, Al (lt1fire) with his heavily modified 80 and JQ11 with is restored California 55, have told me they will be there. Of course, I'll have my 40.
This is not a Charlotte-area member only event. Everyone is welcome and I've got an Aerobed and bonus room for anyone wanting to stay overnight.Mark your calendar and post up if you can make it.
