Land Cruiser 80 L package

I would like to learn more about the L Package 80 series. Apparently there was only made 500 of these 80's. They resembled the LX450 of the same year. I have a black 80 in the L package. Does anyone know more about these? This is my 80, I have since removed these mags and replaced with standard VX rims. Recently bought it and in the process of cleaning it up. Mine is a 1HDFT auto triple locked. Interesting video regarding L Package and other special editions.

Ok so...could the 'L' package simply be a 'L'exus for the rest of the world?
Kinda what the excerpt seems to suggest - "...has almost the same interior and exterior parts as the LX450 that was sold in the US Lexus at the time..."

It has the same running boards as the Lexus. Which none of the other 80’s has. so it might be that the L package was the Lexus for markets other than US. But it is a Land Cruiser and not a Lexus.

Prob a way to use up spare/excess Lexus parts with global outbound 80s out of Japan.
The Lexus lx450 was only made for 2 years and I can imagine suppliers would only make parts if the manufacturer would purchase a large enough order to install.

Looks similar to an LX450 except for the grill and a few other small things we didn't have in the US LX450 models like side marker lamps and mirrors on the front fenders, chrome door handles, clear front park lamps, non-sliding quarter windows, ---
