G'day ladies and gents

My name's Matt and I've recently come into possession of an 88 model 75 series cruiser sporting the wildly powerful 3f motor and racing spec 5 speed manual box. Picked her up for a song (I think) and now she's my little project.

Mods include:
Lifted (unsure how high)
'lokka' front and rear diff locks
Some kind of winch
UHF
Roof mounted spotlight on a handle (well, spotlight not included)
Brand new carby.. Which seems to need some adjustment
Mud tyres, they're skinny though

Future mods will include electronic ignition, probably a set of pacemakers. After that will depend on how much money I feel like throwing at her. She's got 340 thousand kays on the clock, still going strong. Aircon works a treat, power steering could probably use some attention. The tray has some speed holes in it due to the wood being mostly rotted away. But she's a good girl overall.

I'll throw some pics up later today, on the graveyard shift at the moment and I needed something to do to prevent me from falling asleep in the control room.

Keen to take her out for a good bash when I get some days off!

Haven't managed to get her out for a bash yet, has a couple small but annoying engine problems and I don't wanna go out and do any damage until I know what I'm up against.

Suspecting that it's a vacuum leak, have been over the carby with a fine toothed comb and it seems to be all sweet. Now time to check the brake booster and master cylinder for damage/deterioration. Lastly, and hopefully it doesn't come down to it, but check the clutch isn't stuffed.

It started off with an idling issue, the car would want to stall but then after a couple of revs it'd sit idling at 2000 or anywhere in between. And every now and then it's like the car is trying to rev itself, but the power isn't making it to the ground, hence why I think the brake booster or clutch could be at fault here. I've checked the booster by putting my foot on the brake and turning the car off, it doesn't seem to sag when the engine stops, not sure if there's anything else I need to check?

Would be great if someone has some insight for me. I'm pretty stumped!
