thats a really cool looking rig. that's not the body i sold you is it?

Why yes it is...from the doors back is still the same green as it was when I bought it....I haven't made it that far back yet to repaint it. I will when I finish the roll cage and do some other "surgery". I did fill in the cowl vents and the defrosting vents. I'll try to get pictures of that up...

Looks great WL!

Do yourself a favor and edit the post with your address and directions to your place- you don't want that online. Besides I know where you live :)

Thanks dude, I had a temporary brain fart (happens when you get old), wasn't thinking, was trying to get ready to leave town. I appreciate it Jeff. Doing this on my phone and it is ssssslllllllooooooowwwwwww. Ya'll have fun tomorrow. Oh! BTW as I czme through San Angelo I seen a pick and pull that had several mini trucks in it. Wouuld have stooped, but I was on a fly over (yeah, in San Angelo!!!). I may try and look into them tomorrow on the way home...along with a camaro I spotted...

What? Yours looks just as tall.

So, are you going commando in Kommando at Katemcy?

That is just so wrong in many ways.

Looking good W.L.

Great to see progress but I'm curious as to what happened to the aluminum tube roll cage that thing was stout!! I can give you a hand with the wiring if you still need to get any done. I'm pulling the head off my truck to have it rebuilt within the next few weeks once I get a day off then I'm going to be back on the trails as soon as possible.

The aluminum roll bar is long gone, gave it to a cousin for recyling, it wasn't that stout, it broke at the welds when the truck got hit.. I've pretty much have it all wired up, tried to start it and all I got was a slow UHUH (no way!), The battery I'm using turns out to be pretty week despite being on a trickle charger for a couple of weeks, the starter was new when I put it on (about 8 months ago), so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, going to have it tested and change the battery from my red one into it, to see if that works.

It is alive!!! Hahahah!!!!

Progress all be it slow, but it is getting closer. It does start and run, the first pic shows the oil, temp and volt meter in operation, the second pic shows it next to my red 40, the third pick is a side view (the best that I could get):

Now all I need are tires, shock, restrains, finish the cage, fuel system, wiring, painting, etc, etc.

That thing is bad ass. Looks like you have a lot of room to work on your cruisers. :wrench::wrench::wrench:

2X!!! It looks like it's ready for some serious business. You need to get shaken down for the jamboree in April.

Thanks guys,

AustinCruiser, yeah, I got a little room, what the pics don't show is the other 40 that's in the barn taking up space, but, I d have a little more room than others, plus a roof. N ow if I can just get the part where the cruisers are parked under a roof, then I'll have some room.

Jeff, I'm hoping to have it ready for a shake down run before Round Up (hopefully soon after Christmas), then I'll think about the Jambo, baby steps first.

Already had some carnage, one of the front steel braided break lines near the front tire has already broke an leaking....

The one main thing slowing me up, is how I want to finish out the cage behind the seats. I don't really want to have the "stock" sport bar look, but that may happen just to expidite things, so I'm looking for pictures for more ideas.

I like it. Esp. the paint job, would be great for hunting season. Modified but still looks like a cruiser. Mike

Thanks Mike & Dave. Somthing that's bothered me the last little while on this thing, and I really don't know why I did it :meh: (yes I do, but it ain't happenin')..... why the *&^* did I put a speedometer in a trail truck?????

Nice job W.L. I like how you mounted the MFC. ;-)
