Having put my Yakima Load Warrior rack on the top of our new 2016 LC I then proceeded to try and put gear up there. All of a sudden I realized how much I appreciated the ladder on the back of my Land Rover. So now I am looking for solutions.
I would prefer something that is rather temporary - meaning that I can put it on during our camping/off road season and then take it off when we also will remove our roof rack during the 7-month off season. I also want something that doesn't impede with the use of the split tailgate.
Does the Gobi ladder fit the bill? Any experience with it? The claim on trailduty.com is that "attaches easily in minutes to the rear door (no drilling required". If that is true then I would think I can remove it easily as well. The next question is how and how well does it work?
Are there other options out there aside from installing a new bumper and doing other mods. (I did order a telescoping ladder as that may also be useful for our trailer but I would prefer to not be carrying that around all the time.
