just need to update the rear springs and shocks, bit of sag, crank some more boost through it once i finish the intercooler, up a few really long steep hills was getting pretty slow like 40km/hr
Im guessing this is about 3.5ton on the back? towed for 3hrs like this and no problems one up over my brother who i had to recover, he is a nissan man

Is your KZJ78 manual or auto transmission!

There are airbags out there that fit right in the rear coils. Might be a good option for heavy hitch weights like this. I've been meaning to get some myself.

Pretty nuts you could tow all that!

ha ha thanks , it looks so massive on the back of the wagon, its auto, got a reasonable sized trans cooler and i checked this at the top of one of the hills and i could still touch it
Cant say the same for the turbo pipe, it was roasting! I gotta get that intercooler mounted
Airbags would work a treat I didnt think of that cheers.

I had air bags in my KZJ71, alright for lifting the rear but useless when 180 kgs ( Powerchair ) in truck and a caravan with 120kgs of downward weight on the tow ball . Ended up fitting Heavy duty Cobra coils from Chamberlain, Christchurch. This also raised the truck by approx 50mm at the rear.

I have some OME mediums in the back of my truck. Unloaded the back sits 25mm higher than the front. Loaded with my family/gear (400kg), and towing our 16' camper (hitch weight 100kg at least), the truck sits level. Recently I installed some taller springs in the front, and now I think I'm going to need airbags in the back to keep it level when towing. Interesting to know the airbags didn't cut it for you oldblue....now I'm double guessing them....

Who knows the best hitch mount fitting part for the KZJ78? Having a hard time finding one, I plan to simply tow a jetski on the weekends, nothing more.
