OK '60 OWNERS TIME TO PUT YOUR MECHANICS CAP ON:
I was out wheeling my '60 in Holister, CA and was making a 3PT turn on a shallow slope, and while backing and turning in 4L I heard this loud KRUNCH, POP. After that the steering was not as reponsivie as it was before.
I managed
to get off the hill and checked things out on the level ground. When I make a a LH turn I heard a bit of grinding sound in 4L, when in 2H the problem goes away.
I looked at the knuckels and the passenger side one is not perendicular to the ground.
I drove home about 60 miles on 2H and noiticed a slight vibration at freeway speed.
Any ideas, tires hitting the shackels maybe ??
