Kobalt 80 Gallon Air Compressor

Hey guys,

I'm looking at picking up a used 80 Gallon kobalt compressor. It's this one: Shop Kobalt 4.7 HP 80-Gallon 155 PSI Electric Air Compressor at Lowes.com

Found one used for $500 that's about 2 years old.

Any one know or have opinions on these things? If I do pick it up, it'll be Wednesday.

My uses are going to be air tools and more basic projects around the house.

Use to own a auto shop and had this compressor. Still works great. When I closed up shop it moved to my garage. If I don't use it then it kicks on about once a week due to a small leak in a hose. It will run multiple air tools all day and I also used it for sand blasting and painting. Just check to make sure the PO has kept oil in it and has drained at some point.

I bought the big husky (believe it is 65 gallon) with a coupon at HD and it has run flawlessly for me. I've used it to run my big blasting cabinet and all manner of air tools. I would do it again.

Forgot to mention that the price new was less than $500 and I've been treating it like a rental car for 6 years now.
