Just some early feedback:

I gotta say, never had 17's any of my other three LC200's (yeah, I -cough, cough we-) are sick ! LOL. So much smoother! Either that change in smaller diameter, or the KO3's are really smoother, or a combo of both. I have read/heard that the KO3's seem to be smoother and more of a "road" tire than Terrain. Not that they are road tires, but that they moved a bit towards the more "road" balance of All Terrain tires, if that makes sense ! Anyways, I just thought I would share with you since y'all are KO's fanbois like me LOL ! :).

Cheers,
Wow…very nice to hear that KO3 is so good

How is the noise and fuel economy with the KO3s? I had KO2s, but since I’m mostly on the street these days I changed to Defenders to have slightly better noise and fuel economy.

I have a 100% stock 2009 LC and just swapped some 285 60 18 Michelin Defenders for KO3 285 65 18

I read everything I could find about this size in all the different models and decided on the KO3 because anytime I do a dirt trail it’s a 3-6 hour drive each way (Moab/Zion/Escalante) - and the KO3 seems to be the best asphalt leaning AT. I also favored it because it runs a bit smaller that the stated size and I felt that would help better fit the tire in the snug wheel wells… I don’t have the front spacer and not sure it would help with clearance anyway as the sway bar is what has the least amount of clearance at less than an inch. I’m doing the White Rim Trail at the end of August and looking forward to how these do… I will also add that at 80 MPH it is louder than the Michelin, but still very quiet for an AT tire.

Hey @vegas12

I have a stock setup as well. How do you like the ko3 in that size so far, and still zero rubbing I am hoping?
Thanks,
Fraser

Also following as I currently have Defenders on mine and am considering KO3's or Cooper AT3's

Yep - no rub whatsoever and I did white rim trail back in September. The did awesome for the 12 hours on the pavement and 130 miles of trail.

I hear nothing but good things about the ko2 - these are the tires for me! Thanks for the input

Alrighty , got 'em on her. So far two hours drive and they are really amazing. 👌🏿🔥. I will report back at +5k miles.

No spacers, very same reason I went with these wheels, I had spacers before with black power coated stock wheels ! I was just waiting for the KO2's to go down. LOL
KO3's 285/70/17
Dobisons IMS 2.5 -ish inches w/UCL's off course

following this. how heavy are these? they look like they fill out the wheel well very well for a 285/70 at 2.5" lift. I was concerned if I go down from a 285/75, it wouldn't fill out as well.

Btw we got now finally the rollout and road map for Germany. Will have to wait till March but at least a date.
