I just had the rotors replaced by local dealership (included repack bearings). I realize I should have known better but they already had it and I was not comfortable with this being my first job.

Since the rotor work, lt leaks more than ever I assume due to fresh fluid. I should have had them replace wiper seals while in there but at this point can I get away with this for awhile? Not a DD, I only drive it across the beach on weekends..

Is it possible they put oil in the knuckles rather than grease as per FSM?

this is after sitting in driveway for 10 days

Time for an axle rebuild. The fluid that you see coming out is the fluid from the diff sneaking past the failed axle seal and mixing with the grease in the knuckle and bleeding out.

Contact one of the vendors on this board for a rebuild kit. Quite a bit of work but it's expensive from the dealer.

It'll be ok to drive for a little bit but you risk damage to your birfs and differential. None of the work that the dealer did (I'm assuming that they turned the rotors and maybe replaced your brake pads), has anything to do with this leak.

Goodluck, search on here for axle rebuild, lots of info

10 days of sitting

replace your axle seal now, or check your fluid everytime you drive it.

there are plenty of great writeups.

It's a dirty, dirty job but one that you can tackle. It's not difficult, just dirty. As nuclearlemon said, there are lots of good write-ups available. Here's one to check out so you know what your up against.

I'd hate to see what the dealersip would charge for this service.

Since I just got the wheel bearings repacked, can I just replace the inner axle seal and wiper kit and not worry about anything else?

You have to go ALL the way in to replace the axle seal!
So once you're in there its easier to just go through the whole thing and be done done with it for 60-90,000 miles.
