I’m selling this well loved and well maintained 2002 Lexus LX470 with 241,400 miles for my cousin and her husband. This Lexus was purchased new and by the second owner at Nalley Lexus outside Atlanta in Roswell. The second owner, my friend, bought it 3/30/2006 with 57,000 miles as a certified preowned vehicle. He brought it to Knoxville so there is no rust as it has always been a Southern truck. The third owner was my brother and he bought it 3/1/2021 with 216,070 miles and took it to Nashville. The fourth owners, my cousin and her husband, bought it in March 2023 at around 226,700 miles and brought it back to Knoxville.
This Lexus LX is the Lexus version of the venerable Toyota Land Cruiser built in Japan. It has third row seating so it is able to haul seven people. It is all wheel drive and goes in the snow like a champ.
There is a binder of extensive service history going back to the beginning of the second owner’s purchase. It has been serviced at Nalley Lexus, Lexus of Knoxville, Knoxville Ultimate Automotive, Pro Toy in Knoxville, Nashville Toyota North, and Fisher Tire in Knoxville. This LX has the adjustable height control. The expensive front and rear accumulators plus the fluid has been changed, so that will be good for another 225,000 miles. The timing belt/water pump/coolant was done at 187,669 miles so that is good until 277,669 miles. The valve cover gaskets and plugs were done at 216,155 miles. The tires were replaced at 226,518 miles. The alternator and battery were replaced at 234,255 miles. The front/rear brake pads were replaced at 240,829 along with an oil change. This Lexus needs nothing but a new owner. Never wrecked but passenger side scratched up once and repaired see below. Never smoked in. No rust, no leaks, no bs. All three recent owners purchased in March, so its ready for a new owner in March!

My brother replaced both front seats leather in 2021.
My cousin and her husband brought the tech into the 21st century by installing car play/android auto into the original stereo
They added a backup camera that appears on the original stereo. The car play/android auto system will allow one phone wirelessly, and there is a wire for another phone.
They repaired four of the speakers plus the subwoofer so the sound of the stereo is great.
They changed the headlights and fog lights to LED’s.
They had two additional keys made for the vehicle for a total of four.
They installed a trailer hitch and the wiring associated.
They also installed Weather Tech floor liners front, back seat area, and rear hatch area.
My brother invested over $6,000 in his ownership and my cousin and her husband invested over $10,000. They are only selling because they bought a new Lexus GX550.
The bad: it has a few dings and bruises. Paint skinned a little on passenger front, paint skinned a little on driver’s and passenger’s rear bumper, some lines on front bumper. The carpet under the floor liners has some stains. It’s a twenty-two-year-old vehicle with 241,400 miles so it’s not perfect. BUT it’s been maintained well and treated well. The fuel gauge is temperamental. Most of the time it works, but sometimes it is slow to rise to the proper level so you think there is less gas than there is. The rack and pinion is showing some oil on the rubber boot so it’s possible that it will need replacement in the future, but not leaking on the ground or anywhere else just something to keep an eye on. Also, it has the original radiator which is about the only thing that has not been replaced so look for that to go in the future.
We’re asking $13,900 and vin is available upon request. Most all of the service history is on CarFax. Payment by cash or cashier’s check. Clean and clear TN title in hand.
