For a while I have been hearing this faint klunk driving at slow speeds and when taking off or stopping. This Friday got under the truck and replaced both front sway bar bushings and this solved the problem. I had ordered the replacements a while back from CDAN with the idea of replacing them as a PM measure sometime in the future. Also indirectly this solved a ratling noise that I had every time I hit a pothole, deeps or imperfections on the road.
Little by little I solve some of the issues on my cruiser.

you said these are the sway bar bushings? Interesting...

So it wasn't drive line slop? I know that is what mine is...I can feel through the drive line.

mmmmmm I can feel a slight "klunk" at slow speeds, I thought it was driveline noise, e thinks I will have to change these sway bar bushes, where are they under tha car? and are they easy to change, always nice to have first hand knowledge....regards Mick.

Sway bars bushings...

The front sway bushings are very easily replaced, it took me only 10 minutes per side, they are located right about under the drivers and passengers seats, you only need to loosen up a couple of bolts that hold the retaining clip per side and push the bar upwards a bit while sliding the new bushings in. I installed the OEM replacements, but I have seen some greasable uretane bushings that could also be used, they were under $10 each for the OEM replacements.
Oen of my orginals was totally mangled and was squezing out of the retaining clip.
