Last week I replaced my OME setup with a full King Offroad OEM kit.

My goal was to return to the original ride comfort because the OME sports I had were uncomfortably rough.

Goal accomplished.

Well worth the money. If you are considering and OME or other similar setup, i highly recommend savings your pennies and going with Kings or Radflo.

Location of remote reservoir.

What about non reservoirs? King? Radflo?

Would love to see/hear some more details about this choice. Why still stock UCAs? What springs in rear? Why not Radflo?

I used my medium load OME springs in the rear. This is what King and Radflo recommend.

I don't think King makes a non-reservoir option in this kit. The reservoirs do make another dimension of installation difficulty, and at full front drop the resi-line gets mildly pinched between the springs and UCA. I went with the resi setup because i understand that higher oil and nitrogen volumes provide increased comfort.....conflicting opinions on this.

Regarding the King vs other options, I think King and Radflo make the only lc200 specific kit, and King is the only one to offer specifically designed mounting brackets. They claim to provide a lot of these kits to the armored car industry and mid-east and claim to have spent a lot of time getting the valving and fit dialed in.

From what i have read the Kings seem like the spare no expense option and Radflo has much better customer support.

It won't take much rubbing to work into the steel braiding on the King resi line. May wrap in heavy duty rubber at the contact point to minimize future concerns.

Edited: Could try spinning the resi in the mount to force the line around. I did, to no avail, but was running a considerably larger UCA.

Shock Valving:

Please describe your shock application in detail. We want your
shocks to be perfect, so if necessary, we will contact you after
your order for additional information.

The LC 200 King Shocks with or w/o adjustable compression are off the shelf offerings. The additional options are not only limited to valving, but also springs rate, shock length, colors, and internal bypass for some of the applications.

I bought the off the shelf verity. I spoke to king about the compression adjusters and for the 200 application they claim to have the valving down pretty well and didn't recommend making adjustments. They claim the adjusters are better suited for a more custom application where tuning is needed. Also, i hear that King takes a long time to deliver a custom setup and i was tiered of my OMEs.

Delancy - what application is that pic from? a 200? On my 200 it seems more like the hose is getting pinched, than rubbed. It only happens at full suspension drop at which time the hose is pinned between the UCA and spring. I'm worried that if i put a wrap of any thickness around the hose it will be further crushed.

FJC.

In all fairness to King, the UCAs I ran with that setup were huge, therefore decreasing the clearance, but others have reported a similar issue with tubular UCAs, be it OE or aftermarket.

A concern to address, but don't know that I can offer any solution specific to the 200 other than reorienting the fitting in a parallel to shock body direction, where it has the most clearance at widest point of UCA.

Not meaning to resurrect an old thread...but I am getting my Kings installed this week. I am having them done by king themselves as I am so close to them.

keep us posted

Any updates?

I have some pics of my LC with the kings installed by King. It has been an adventure for both them and me. I will start a new thread tomorrow as I don't want to hijack this one.

anxiously awaiting.
