I've seen a few references to Kill Switches in some of the forum threads as an upgrade. What are they talking about? Is it a "hidden" switch to divert power somewhere and prevent vehicle theft? Wouldn't it be just as easy to yank a coil wire or something if you're really that concerned??

Essentially yes, a kill switch is a secondary switch to stop the vehicle from running to prevent theft... A coil wire is pretty obvious to a mechanic, and easy to fix and drive off with your truck.. I've been thinking about a kill switch for GB, but have not done anything about it yet... it's on the list though! :D

Wouldn't a decent mechanic trying to rip you off be able to quickly come to the conclusion you have a hidden switch and defeat it somehow?? Or would it take too long? Maybe I'll slip on a fake coil wire with the rubber covers intact but the main cable snipped off inside? OK as long as he doesn't think to take it off and look at it. As long as it's on their they'd keep looking for other stuff...? Who the HeII is gonna want my rig anyway?? My best anti-theft device is to keep it plain and ugly. Got my Buckethead sticker today. He's my new guiter hero!

if you are serious.

there are several different things to do.

very clean and subtle.

Not really Aric. More of a curiosity than anything. I suppose you could figure out some sneaky sheet huh?

Pick up an "OK" aftermarket alarm and it will have a built in kill switch, if the alarm is armed and someone tries to start the truck there Fd!

Kill switch?!? Hell your truck barely runs with out one :flipoff2:

(ok, that may have been a little too mean ;) )
