Did you find a good source to get LC's remotes or what ? I've seen plenty of remotes for the LX's forsale on ebay for around $30...Dont really know if they are interchangeable, but I've always used the RS3000 instructions to program my remotes with no problem. From the design stand point, they could be compatible.

Nope.
I've just started looking around on ebay to see what I could pick up. Didn't see much on there right now either way, but I wanted to confirm whether I needed to be limiting my search exclusively to the LX remotes.

Match the remotes based upon the FCC ID on the back of the key fob and you should be OK.
not so sure about this FCC thing. Keys for the early 2000s and later have same FCC but the part numbers and different and the system appears different. I was told they are not compatible. (Do not know that for a fact, though.)

I installed a "kit" rs3000 alarm for my 1996 and when i bought it off of e-bay the remotes both have the lexus symbol,so i think if you have the same alarm ie:rs3000 then the lc/lx450 key fobs would work
