The ignition key halo remains on after the car has started-
and at night the reflection on the front windshield is
driving me crazy-:o

How do you make it work the way it was designed to work-

My wifes LX will light when dark but always goes off when the
car starts-

Anyone have this same problem?
Is their a Link on how to fix this?

I have a 1996 LX 450 and my wife has a 1996 LX 450

Turn down the dimmer switch to the dash lights?

I thought I was the only one who found this annoying, puts a green spot right at eye level on the windshield. My previous LC didn't do this thought maybe it was normal for 97'. Thinking of digging out the bulb or black marker on the ring. Don't really need the light, should know by now where the keyhole is.:D

A circuit likely remains open where you think it should be closed ie the door is not completely depressing the plunger. Although I don't own a similar vehicle it would seem to me that this might be a reasonable place to start.

Now that I think of it, this light is on 24/7 on my truck. Normal? No other interior lights on.

Again, i don't own the same type of vehicle but I can tell you mine stays off. Once the pressure switch on the door releases, this activates the key ring halo. There might be some type of routing problem if there is some aftermarket wiring, but I would suggest the halo is not meant to stay on. Sorry I cannot offer an actual fix.
