I’ll start by saying I did do a search but was unable to locate anyone else with this issue.
Last week, I had my keys stolen from out of a rental car while I was on holiday. I used my AAA key reimbursement benefit and ordered myself a new YotaMD shell and key from eBay.
I was able to get the key to start the truck, but I cannot for the life of me get it to program the fob. It’s going into program mode just fine, but I cannot get it to recognize the bloody remote entry bit.
What are the chances I’ve gotten a dud? I’ve done this many times before (I lose enough keys for everyone on this forum) and I’ve never had this issue.
What are the chances my keyless entry module is toast? I haven’t done anything special except hit a medium sized puddle lately.
The eBay seller is sending me a new one. But I’m freaking out a bit because I saw that the prices for the new module are $900.
