i THINK i WOULD SWING THE TIRE OFF THE RIGHT SIDE, HIT PEDESTREANS RATHER THAN PASSING CARS. Put the jerry can deal on the left. just reach over it most of the time to get in back of rig.

any experience?

And, say you'r gonna get a long range tank. gotta move that 33, don't wont it inside, go for the rear bumper/carrier first or get a roof rack. Which will be better to have while waiting for the other.

The carrier dowsn't swing perpendicular to the truck sides, it stays parallel - so it won't hit pedestrians & cars, but you will might moving the tire.

My Kaymar's tire carrier swings to the passenger, jerry to the driver's side. If I ordered again today, it would be swapped. I could then easily use a siphon hose for gas instaed of pouring it out.

Yeah, that's the kind of experience that helps. Never would have thought of that.

The last ARB fully rigged bumper I saw was on a 80 in Portland, or. He(she?) had tire right jerry left, but he had a 10gal H2O container in the jerry holder, had a spicket so he could stand at the back and draw water at the campsite.

If you are carring cans do you not have the long range tank?

i would think that on the passenger side, the spare would create a blind spot.

Yikes, did not consider that either...every thing is such rocket science..

I've a 35x12.50 'spare' ( 35's on ground too) , swing to right....no blind spot.

If jerry's on the right, couldn't siphon from Jerry to fuel tank; Jerry needs to be higher than gas tank filler area . . .

i had tire on driver's side (left) previously and it worked fine. Can't see as well out that side anyway when backing up and/or can use the driver's mirror.

I like the idea of siphoning directly from the jerry. that would be cool. just park your rear tire on a rock or something to elevate slightly.
